We’ve found some little nuggets of gold in fitness apps or websites that help you with resistance training at home and the best thing about them is that they’re free!

NTC-Nike Training Club-It’s hard to believe that with all the content and ease of use of this app that its free but it is. You can sign up very easily. By answering a few questions, you will be guided to a collection of workouts that are chosen for you based on your goals and current fitness level.
NTC-Nike Training Club has over 185 workouts to choose from so you’ll never get bored and they include workouts by current fitness professionals and athletes. The workouts are very easy to follow as they show you exactly how to do each move. Most workouts need no equipment to complete.
Madbarz-This workout apps free version includes many workouts and even some 12 week plans to follow. Their workouts are easy to follow, with videos of each move, and a timer to follow. They have workouts from 15-45 minutes long so you can fit in a quick one or take the challenge and push yourself.
You can filter the workouts based on body parts worked, workout length, and more. They will occasionally post a workout challenge to motivate you to improve your best time.
You can pay for a premium version of the app giving you access to more workouts and longer programs of resistance training at home.
Freeletics-This app has many different workouts all with really cool names like Aphrodite and Athena. Each workout is broken into timed moves or reps. It is very easy to follow and customizable to your goals.
With the paid version, you have a virtual coach that tracks you moves and workouts and adjusts to your performance each week.
Fitness Blender-This is a website but it works much like an app, run by a couple. They post a new workout every Monday but their library of workout videos is amazing. They have workouts for strength, cardio, and flexibility for beginners to advanced.
They do offer 30-day programs for a low price but you can easily use the free resistance training at home videos and build your own 30-day program if you want.
Not Free but Cheap and Worth Mentioning Apps:
Jillian Michaels-We know that she can whip people into shape due to her part in the hit show, The Biggest Loser. She has her own app that costs less than $10 a month if you get the yearly subscription but you can try it for free for 7 days before you buy.
This app builds a workout for you and shows a video of each move to ensure you get the right form. If you don’t like one of the moves you can swap it for another. Her programs range from beginners fitness in 30 days to prenatal to sexy abs.
Hip Shake Fitness-If you love to dance then this website is for you. With one monthly fee of $18, you get access to all their dance workout videos. Try dances like belly dancing, hip hop, KPOP, and latin dancing. You’ll shake your hips and body into shape while having fun!
TL;DR: Fitness doesn’t have to be expensive. Take advantage of free fitness apps and websites for resistance training.
