The Ultimate Guide To Summer Body Workouts 2022

Happy April! Right now is the perfecttime to start working on that summer body if you haven’t already. Sunny days, vacations, and trips are just around the corner!

 

We’ve rounded up some of the best home workouts that’ll help you tone up, shred fat, and get one step closer to that summer body. The best part: you only need minimal equipment (or none at all).

What to know before you start

  • Spot-reducing isn’t a thing. - You can lose fat throughout your entire body, and you can focus on working out certain muscle groups to make them leaner and more defined, but you can’t do exercises with the intention of losing fat in one particular place. That means that no matter how many situps and crunches you do, you probably won’t start seeing your abs until you also lose some of the visceral fat that’s surrounding them, and you can’t focus your fat loss on your midsection alone. Work on a combination of both resistance and cardio workouts so that you can shred fat and lose weight at the same time.
  • Don’t underestimate the importance of nutrition. -Your physique is determined by more than your exercise routine.   • Consistency, consistency, consistency! - You probably won’t see too many results if you do each of these workouts once. On the other hand, getting your workouts in five times a week, for two months? That’s where the sweet spot is. That’s also why we’re dropping this post now rather than a month from now -- fitness takes time!
  • Challenge yourself. - If you’ve been following the same workouts for a while and aren’t feeling as challenged as you were in the beginning, congratulations! You’re getting stronger. But this also means that it’s probably time to increase the intensity if you want to keep progressing.

Rock-hard abs start with a strong core! Your core, which is made up of your abdominal wall, back muscles, and obliques, is an important muscle group that keeps you balanced during virtually every full-body workout. To target them specifically and work on that visible six-pack, try adding these two workouts to your routine.
